Default in player hud preferences, selected stats disappear when window clicked????

in player preferences, my stats in the "display these stats" box disappear when i click anywhere in the box.
when i change the abbreviations and click in the white area, the abbreviations revert back to default. ;(
i have just installed windows 7. could this have anything to do with it?

Im not exactly sure what you mean, maybe a screenshot would illustrate the problem better?

if i click in "X" area, the red circled area flashes each time and removes my stats from the "X" area one by one!
also, if u change abbreviations then click "x" area, they go to default with each click too.
    freakin strange!
its like its acting as an undo every click

I'll try to reproduce this later. I have no HM with me at the moment.

I wasn't able to reproduce this, the only thing i see for a moment while clicking around is a red rectangle about the options on the right side but this doesn't cause any problems.

Can you please post a more detailed instruction how you get this problem?

up-to-date xp with most recent SP
    1.11.02...

When I click on the change font button in the 'Options For Hands' section I also get a rectangular red flash that lasts for about 1/50th second (the time for a frame of film at the cinema)

The red flash is located in part of the 'Options For Hands' section & it doesn't matter if I move the dialg box clear of apps/windows underneath

Sometimes when I do this my font changes to default verdana (even though I've cancelled the dialog) rather than staying on my preferred font of twentieth Century Condensed

As I mentioned in another thread my changes to abbreviations are not being saved either

i get same red flash normally on the first click then white flashes every click after first.
for the undo thing to happen, i have to click white area twice.
