HUD always moves to default positions after I hit 'apply'

I wanted to see if I liked working with panels more. Ever since I turned them on (I've since turned them off and back on a multitude of times trying to fix the issue) my HUD resets to the default positions everytime I hit 'apply' on the Player Preferences menu. I've also tried with a different HUD layout all together and the same thing happens. As I am redesigning all of my HUDs this is obviously causing me a problem. Please advise..?

Same thing happened to me.
Have table manager open, and use File>Save positions.
Or right click icon in the task bar and click save positions
