Simplify DB maintenance ?

HEM pops up a warning that postgreSQL maintenance is advisable..

When the user clicks 'OK' this leads the user through simple fool proof steps to vacuum or vacuum/full or reindex etc - all from within the HEM interface

No need to vote here. We have a tool that does this now. We're still doing some testing on it, but it does the vacuum stuff and we also scan your HD for your Ram and adjust postgres config values so postgres runs as optimal as possible based on your PC hardware.

Expect it to be released any day now.

How much RAM do you actually need to have postgres work optimally ? I ask this because I only have 1GB of ram and 256 is shared with integrated videocard, so not a lot of ram by today's standards.
