!Error - PostgreSQL could not be installed!

Hi,

bought a licence few hours ago and downloaded installation package. HM installed, but when installing Postgres, error that it could not be installed appeared!

Tried almost everything found in Forum, but nothing helped.

Tried:

- using WIN Vista Home Prem SP2 (Czech ver.)- administrator account
- UAC disabled before already
- restarted several times
- using NOD32 4.0 and Spybot 6.3
- uninstalled antivir soft, disabled WIN Firewall, Defender etc.
- exemptions for HM and PSQL added to Firewall and Defender as requested in FAQ
- PostgreSQL 8.4 visible at Programs - uninstalled and installed again - same error
- no Service of PostgreSQL visible

When opening HM error that Failed to establish a connection to "127.0.0.1"


PLEASE HELP me ASAP, I am really frustrated right now, don't know what to do.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete 

4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...3.9-v1.0.7.exe


If that doesn't work for some reason, try this one:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

net user postgres /delete 

4) reboot.
5) Download and UnZip this file to a new folder. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/postgresql.zip
6) Then run the postgresql-8.3.msi file and follow these instructions - FAQ - Hold'em Manager Poker Tracking Software :: Reinstall PostgreSQL

First option worked. Installed PostreSQL 8.3.9 as instructed and HUD working now!

Maybye adding this to FAQ will help to other if newer version has problem to be installed to Vistas etc.
