anyone know what i can do to fix this...I just purchased HEM last night and would really like to get it working...

When does this happen? When trying to change your player screen name?

Cash Games > Reports > Click 'Change' and search your Poker Site name. You can also click the Arrow and choose Player Search. Do not click the drop-down arrow. That opens a list of previously searched names.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.net/hmupdate

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Rightclick the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

Ok i did all of that, I just need to figure out how to import my HH files....Because it still wont let me add myself as a player...Im assuming thats because of an issue with hand histories?

That's right - you need to import at least one HH with your nickname before you can select your nickname
