PostgresSQL service Not running

    Default PostgresSQL service Not running

    The PostgreSQL service is not running. Click "start Service" to try to start

    Error:Can't connect to PostgreSQL (wrong server, port, or firewall enabled?).

    I have tried this.
    I have done all these

    Should I uninstall and reinstall? How would I do that?

    Hi,

    I would like to apologize for the issues you are having with HM2, Please try re-re installing HM2 To reinstall Holdem Manager 2 without losing your settings follow this FAQ:

    So backup the database and config files by following that FAQ

    I can't get into my database. When I hit Start Service it says this...

    I did that yesterday. Said I am available ASAP, but still haven't been given a time. I have said in the past I would be willing to pay for VIP tech support. Can you please help to resolve this issue faster?

    Turn on the secondary Logon. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.


    This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

    First try to reboot.

    If no help, try this:

    Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

    Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

    If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.


    If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely
