    Default Holdemmanager with Ubuntu?

Is it possible? postgresql's native OS is linux right? does the manager/hud work? are there any workarounds to any problems there might be? what about using virtualbox? its a bit long to install a whole new OS in vbox just for the sake of HM though...

Holdemmanager needs a windows system to run.
I use the following Ubuntu configuration:

Ubuntu PC with Postgresql 8.3 running.
Holdemmanager in a windows virtual box connected to the Postgresql server database.
I don't know if it is possible to run HM with wine but i would expect problems because of the Hud.

I hope this helps a little bit. Please come back if you have further questions or need help.

    +1 to what netsrak said.

The Wine option is a hassle because of all the updates being done to the poker sites and HEM. Wine just can't keep up, so the best option is a VM

I tried wine w/HEM for a short time. It is okay but there is too much flickering and positions did not stay. I tried that back when 1.08 beta something so it was some time ago.
