    - Right-Click > Extract All to your holdemmanager.zip file.

    - If you have any issues with the windows not having an Extract menu under Right-Click, try www.7zip.org.
So I should download a new installation zip? I will do that and if it doesn't work report back here.

I get the same message I got earlier. I'm not trying to reinstall, I'm trying to start HM. I'm talking about these steps:

    6. Restart Holdemmanager
    7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings

Okay, I repaired HM via the control panel an it has made a new Holdem manager file in the config map. But the problem isn't solved at all.

I installed beta 38 now and it works. Will try newer beta's.

Then you probably didnt rename it properly.

Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default, so make sure you can see them - http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/wi...howextensions/

Now make sure you rename or delete any holdemmanager.config file, so that HEM can recreate one default.

If that doesnt help try a revo reinstall

    1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files mentioned earlier.
    2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting.
    3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, choose the Select All > Delete buttons to remove any registry entries and leftover files.
    4) Reboot your computer
    5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...demmanager.zip
    6) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
    7) You will have to reconfigure your import folders, etc, as mentioned before. Test if it for a while and see if it work

My HUD is still not working. I tried following the steps 0-10 as given above, but ran into the same problem as poster 'Joostul' above at step 6. I then deleted HEM altogether and reinstalled the beta version, and tried to go through the steps again. I know have 2 holdemmanager.config files, both of which are changed to .corrupt (one is .corrupt2). When i then restarted HEM i did not get the problem at step 6 but the table manager and HUD still do not come up. My computer knowledge is very limited so i'd be very grateful if you could help me get this sorted, preferably breaking it down in as simple terms as possible. Thanks

Did you uninstall it using revo uninstaller as detailed above? Please do so now. Make a copy of your \holdem manager folder and then use revo to reinstall it fresh.

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe, and dbcontrolpanel.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe, and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171
