Please try re-sizing the note popup by click and drag the corner of the note to the desired size.

That is a lot better. It's use-able now, but still weird.

but just for giggles I switched to 1280x720 and got the same results.
Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: 1.0 GHZ
RAM: 2+ GB is Recommended
Video: 1024x768 Resolution is Recommended
so your suggestion is that I stop having a wide screen monitor?
The way those text boxes get sized is by polling the window for its size, and doing maths on the result. In case I was breaking some lower limit with my 720 (not likely, but I didn't write it, so ...) I've tried 1920 x 1080 and now 1804 x 1014. Same results.
Definitely a worthwhile experiment, as I never noticed I was using a low resolution w/prog. scan when I have an interlaced monitor. So you've definitely improved my gaming experience, and I can finally fit more than 6 tables on my desktop. Now if I can just train myself to play more than 2 ...

We have duplicated this and it has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve. While I don't have a specific date for when this issue will be resolved, we are putting out updates regularly.
The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is 4459. We will often release builds on a limited basis only the forums for a few days first so please check back on this thread http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/ for that ticket # .
If you would like a specific email back when a new build that addresses 4459 is officially released, please email hm2support@holdemmanager with "Notify Me When 4459 Is Resolved" as the subject line.

HM-4459 turns out to be something else:PS buy-in detected as rebuy. I couldn't find the actual report myself. Can you find the right number?
