problem registering

Hi, I hope someone can help me out. I just got my license for the free pro version by signing up through poker stars. However, I can't seem to register the software. I keep getting an error message that says the license has been modified. I've tried all the steps recommended in the FAQ and nothing is helping. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for responding. I did try everything in that FAQ, but nothing worked.

The detailed error message just says:
"Could not activate license at server. The license has been modifed."
