Default Cannot get HM to run on administrator using vista

    Hello

I have been visiting the forms a lot lately and cannot get HM to run on my laptop. I recently had everything perfect. The next day I recieved this message.

An error occurred while retrieving the imported file list: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

I then went to this link

    http://64.77.69.66/forum/showthread....ed+remote+host

I followed the directions and went to this link: http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34

I don't understand "click on each .exe file, then go to the compatability tab or privilaged level". First there are 1000 files under HM. Second I don't think any of them have .exe on the end. Third there are no compatability tabs or privilaged level tabs.

I have tried to turn it over to administrator everyway I can. Everytime I turn the computer on its back to normal.

The UAC on my laptop is turned off.

    Ideas?

    Thanks for your time

I should add I also downloaded the latest patch to see if that would help. Nothing.

Try it with your firewall / spyware software disabled.

If it doesnt help please come back.

    Hello

I disabled my spyware with Mcaffree and HM worked. Isn't this dangerous for my computer? If I play poker and want to open a web browser then what do I do? I didn't have to do this with my other computer whats the problem?

Now that you know it works without the security in place, you can add the security back one thing at a time to see where the conflict is. You will certainly want to add exceptions to your firewall and/or set your poker programs to be safe/trusted programs - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171
