This should explain it fairly well - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=135

I am beginning to update that FAQ currently, to match the new Player Preferences Panels and Sub-Panels.

If you have a custom HUD you are configuring, you need to first set your default HUD config to only work on a site that you do NOT play at. Then you need to make sure that your custom config(s) are set properly on the Use For: tab, for the site and type of games you play. You want to make sure you set any conflicting rules on the Use For: tab, or you will force HM to use the default config.

    Here are my configs:

    Forgot to answer this:

HUD Options > Tables Preferences > Min Hands for Stats

That will stop the HUD from displaying any stats with fewer hands than the number you set. This means once they play 20 hands their stats will show.

Some stats require more hands to achieve the same number of samples. Number of hands and number of samples are not the same thing.

For instance: VPIP and PFR become a fair indicator of someones general preflop tendencies rather quick, because they have an opportunity to VPIP every hand, and they have an opportunity to PFR every time they choose to VPIP. A stat like 3bet, or 4bet, or check raise, take a much larger number of hands, until they have had a fair number of opportunities/samples.

If you want to set individual stats with their own individual, minimum sample requirements, you want to leave the Tables Preferences option set to 0 hands.

Then go to HUD Options > Player Preferences > Stats tab > Display These Stats: > Click a stat to activate it for editing > Options for hands: (bottom right of stats tab) > Min Samples
