Default Import DB/Hands from old installation ?

Recently had to install windows new on a new partition. However my old database is still on the other partition which no longer boots.

How can I import the hands from that database considering I cant simply start up the old program and export ?

If you want to use your old data folders in a new installation, you are going to have to uninstall SQL and follow those instructions. You also need to be sure you are using the same version of PostgreSQL.

You must *fully* remove PostgreSQL if you want to install it again.

    - Uninstall from control panel. add/remove programs (I prefer Revo Uninstaller)
    - Manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql\Data folder that was installed, and copy your previous \data folder into place.
    - run the command (no quote marks) - start > run > 'cmd' > "net user postgres /delete"
    - reboot.
    - install again, as admin, with UAC off.

Make sure to UnCheck "initiate the database cluster", and then you should be able to install without damaging your \data folder you put there. I have never done it personally, but I recall a thread on 2p2 about it. - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...myself-269850/
