I tried moving the database folder from the postgres install folder, but postgres doesn't recognize it even when the DB is on this partition running the programs.
If you could help me get access to this database so I can get the hands out I'd appreciate it a bunch, thanks.
Assuming your new/current DB is the smaller of the 2:
Export your current DB to text files - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=173
Reinstall postgresql using your old \postgresql\8.3\data folder to restore the old DB. Then manually import the exported files from the newer db, to your old/restored DB.
Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=73
Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171
For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:
1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) If you are moving the DB to a different drive/partition, manually cut or copy the \Postgresql\data directory to it's new location.
3) run the command - start > run > cmd >
PHP Code:
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your previous DB using these instructions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=177
6) If you have moved/installed your DB to a non-default location, please make sure to change the 'Data Directory' path during the installation.
