If I have a partition that I once had Windows installed on, ran HEM from, had an existing HEM Databse etc., but that partition no longer has an accessible OS installed, but the files and databases etc. are still intact, how could I access the old DB so I can export it and create a larger, master database? I tried moving the database folder from the postgres install folder, but postgres doesn't recognize it even when the DB is on this partition running the programs.

If you could help me get access to this database so I can get the hands out I'd appreciate it a bunch, thanks.

Assuming your new/current DB is the smaller of the 2:

Export your current DB to text files - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=173

Reinstall postgresql using your old \postgresql\8.3\data folder to restore the old DB. Then manually import the exported files from the newer db, to your old/restored DB.

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=73

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

    1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
    2) If you are moving the DB to a different drive/partition, manually cut or copy the \Postgresql\data directory to it's new location.
    3) run the command - start > run > cmd >
    PHP Code:
    net user postgres /delete
    4) reboot.
    5) Install the same version of PostgreSQL as your previous DB using these instructions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=177
    6) If you have moved/installed your DB to a non-default location, please make sure to change the 'Data Directory' path during the installation.

    Default Merge converter

I have downloaded the merge converter trial. Will my hands auto import on Carbon just like every other site?

To get all your missed hands imported

    1) Right-Click your Desktop > New > Folder.
    2) Go to your \HMArchive folder - To verify the path, go to Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: _________.
    3) Open that folder and copy the hands (folders of hands) you think it has missed. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31). Also get any hand files that are in your \poker site\hand history folder.
    4) Paste them into your new desktop folder > HM > Import From Folder.

    Hi Fozzy.

I had a problem with the HM in Ultimate Bet. The stats boxes are in the wrong place and the mucked cards appears in another place. Can you help me?

    I have the last beta.

    Thank you!

I am pretty sure that UB always sits you in the bottom/center seat, correct?

    1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
    2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
    3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref.txt and pospref2.txt.
    4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and open 1 cash table.
    5) Use Ctrl Right-Click Drag to move the panels Move the main/first panel for each player first. This is the panel with the Note Icon (astersik).
    6) Once the main panel is in the proper position, you can position any hud sub-panels for each player.
    7) Once they are set, go to Table Manager > File > Save Positions.
    8) Close that table, open a new one, and sit to play.

If you still are having problems with the mucked cards, turn on HUD Options > Tables Preferences > Mucked Card and Alignment Edit Mode and position all the paired hole cards that are overlayed (AA-99).

    Hi Foz,

I have set up a HUD configuration I want to use, but the default config always shows up on the table. How do I select the new configuration when I am playing?
