i exported my hands and put them into a new database and the ev problem is now fixed, but the hands are still missing (so i assume they are gone as i put auto archive on)

Make sure it isn't filters that are causing this. You can also import from the c:\hm archive folder using "Import Folder" and HM will grab all the old hand histories

This is the same as beta 43 but it's now official and version shows 1.09
