Postgres connection to HEM

Hi

I have already installed postgres (after some difficulty) and HEM. I purchased HEM yesterday and went to set up but when it starts up the "connect to postgres" page it states - a connection to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would you like HEM to start the service?

The login name is postgres and the password postgrespass. I had problems setting up postgres initially and in my notes I also had a different user name and password, but used that one as well and still no luck.
