    Default Pre flop re-raise %

    Hi
wanted to know which stat to choose on pop up when i want to see opponent's pre flop re-raise %

    i.e

I pre flop raise UTG, villain re-raise from BTN

I saw on pokerstrategy.com that the definition of 3BET is the 3td raiser

    i.e

    i raise UTG
    villain reraise from MP2
    villain2 re-raise from BTN and - 3bet.

4bet is the 4th raises etc.

    looking forward to your reply,

3bet is raise a preflop raise and 4bet raise 3bet. You can also add positional 3bets, e.g. UTG 3bet, MP 3bet etc.

this is a quote from pokerstrategy.com:

    3bet

A 3bet is a reraise after a raise and a bet. It is the third raise in a betting round. Normally fixed limit players are using this term, but it is also used instead of the term reraise in pot- and no-limit-games.

    Schema:

    Player A bets

    Player B raises

    Player C 3bets

    i am really confused here.

What makes it confusing is that you cannot forget about the bigblind. That is the original "first" bet, your raise is 2 bets, and the re-raise, is the 3rd bet. If someone again raises (re-re-raise) it is the 4th bet.

    Raise
    3-bet
    4-bet

I think the term 3bet originally came from limit players where the blind is regarded as a bet, a raise is then considered a 2bet and a re-raise is considered a 3bet like what Byzantium was saying but i suspect you took that quote out of context Alish as it most likely refers to post flop rather than preflop. Preflop i already descibed but post flop is slightly different and alot of people get confused calling a raise a 3bet where its not.

Basically on the flop i face a bet, if i raise thats a 2bet or raise (and not a re-raise either) if the villain then raises my 2bet then thats a 3bet or re-raise. However holdem manager does not refer to anything in terms of 3bets after preflop so you shouldnt be getting confused.

Thus "3-bet" and "fold to 3-bet" are both for preflop play?
