Will Dual/Quad Core increase the speed/performance of HEM+Postgre?

Hi,

Question as in the title,

Will we see a lot of improvement in speed/performance from HEM+PostgreSQL with Dual/Quad Core? in other words, will HEM+PostgreSQL utilize the extra CPU power in dual or quad core environment?

Does that have to do with our OS as well?
