Default Transfer DB to new computer

    Hi,

I am very soon changing computer. I want to know what is the easiest way to transfer my DB to an external hard drive and then into my new computer. I would like to keep all the settings with it if possible.

    Thank you

I've done this at it finally create a .backup file of 1.66go. Is this all my database? I have over 1.5M hands in this database. I have save this file to my external hard drive. Now when I reinstall HM how do I re-import this file?

You need to reinstall postgreSQL, HM on the new PC, then restore the backup http://208.109.95.123/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=12

    Hi,

I did restore the .backup file in my new databse throught pgadmin III. It is now loading and taking very long time. Is everything normal now and should I have my old DB when I reopen HM on my new computer this way?

    Thanks

    Hi,

The restore is now over. At the end of the box I receive this message:

WARNING: errors ignored on restore: 139

Then I click ok and they ask me if I want to run a restore from this file again? yes or no?

Looks like there was some issues with the restore. Click no and see if it lets you access the database. It probably will have problems so looks like youll need to create a new blank database and export your hands from the old database if you havent done that already and then reimport them

Is possible to export all my hands to an external hard drive and then re-import to my new computer? Right now nothing is working properly. I have e-mail Fabio with this issue and waiting any kind of support. Live chat or teamviewer session would be great.

    Thanks

Its 1.10am here now and ive still quite a bit to do so i wont be able to do a teamviewer session until tommorrow.

Its pretty straight forward (easy to say when youve done it tons of times) just export those hands http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=173 and import them into the new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=146

Theyll be exported to the HoldemManager folder so you can copy them to a Usb key, cd or hard disk whichevers easiest so you can import them on the new PC/drive
