Copy/Paste data folder from postgres doesn't backup

i want to copy old "data" folder to the new installation or install postgresql with old "data" folder (installator detect old "data" folder). When i use old "data" folder in both cases service postgresql 8.4 cant start.


changing permission doesnt work :(

ok i did it ;D

i changed user permission but this doesnt work.

so i enabled loging in postgresql.conf and fill folder old "data" with missing empty folders from new folder "data" such as:

pg_log
pg_stat_tmp
pg_tblspc
pg_twophase


and its working now
