Hello,

Since today I have real big problem with HEM. I played a session on PS as usual and everthing was fine. But when I played today the HUD and the table manager didnt show up. The auto-import was aktivated but it didnt seem to import any hands since the process bar didnt show any action.
I updated HEM today but it still does not work. I am using WinXP and didnt change any settings or so. I really dont know why this problem occurs...
I would be thankful for any help.

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?
1. I updated HEM to version 1.07.10

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
2. Pokerstars

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
2a. Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
3. It used to work until one day ago so everything is set up right

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?
4. Handhistories of current tables are in the folder

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?
5. There are no hands shown in the report tab for today even though auto import was running

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?
6. I cannot select "database management". everytime I try to select this option HEM closes and I am back on the desktop!

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?
6) the table manager is not even showing up.

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?
7. Yes- english

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?
8. I am Using winXp so I think there is no UAC... at least I couldnt find any way to disable it

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?
9)I attached a config file loacted in postgreSQL\8.3\bin since I couldnt find any other configfile related to HEM

Try going to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager and double click dbcontrolpanele.exe and this should allow you to create a new database

I created a new database and loaded it. HEM imported some hands and I loaded the old database again.
After that the old database works again now :) autoimport starts and the table manager is loading as well.
Why did this problem occur in the first place? can I avoid it in the future?

Thank you very much for your help!

ok well I have to open HEM over the dbcontrolpanele.exe all the time or it still doesnt work. but at least it works...

another question...
I want to format my computer soon what happens to my database then? is it saved completely saved on my computer or is it saved online?

and what about my HEM license? can I just reinstall HEM wth the same license I used before or do I have to use the 2nd one?

You need to backup your database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=12 and then restore it on your new drive.

Id also recommend exporting the hands in case something goes wrong with the backup http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

Also some things here you might consider backing up http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=101

Your key will work on up to 2 pcs so if you want me to reset it just email the key to morny@holdemmanager.net
