So with the new 1.11.07 and new stats I figured I might just try to make a new DB and import all my old hands.

What I did was to take a backup earlier this year and just export all the hands from HEM. Now that I'm importing this to the new DB it takes just ages litterally and I just doesn't see much progress.

In the start I noticed that Archiving was on, which obviously isn't needed as this hands is something I have on an external HDD. I copied all hands to my C: drive cause I obviously thought it would go faster to import when they already are on my SSD drive vs usb hdd.

Is this totally normal? I got Quad core cpu, 8 gb ram, 64bit os, ssd drive and my pc is what I consider state of the art and not slow in any other areas.

Run a import from folder on your old archive folder instead.

PostgreSQL can't import these large 10+ MB very fast.

Don't have it, as I said I just exported all hands from HEM and then I deleted the archive folder because it was HUUUGE. Oh well just gonna make sure this is on every night for like three weeks or something....

Got like 100-150 files which is about 50-110 mb size.

Also got 4-5 files on the size between 400 and 600 mb.

Or should I just wait for HEM2 and then possibly convert my excisting DB?

HM2 can certainly import at lightning fast speeds, but I don't know how it handles there large .txt files. I'm guessing NOT very well.

So when HM2 is out we have to import it all again?

Going away on vacation also so Im just gonna do that and hope its done by 2-3 weeks. I can only blame myself by deleting all the archive, but I didnt know this. Still got my hands though so could be worse :P

Oki, so I might just wait for that.
