No I have not installed the latest windows updates or anything like that but yesterday my HUD just plain stopped mid session. I did the usual reboot of HEM when something like this happens but it fixed nothing. I updated to the latest one and it had to create a new db before it could start but just seemed to do nothing and said HEM will is not responding. So I reinstalled the slightly older version and HUD will stil not work.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily

If any of those things weren't right on my system then it wouldn't have been running fine without a glitch for 12 months solid. All you mentioned is fine. And as I said with the new update it says a new database has to set up then it just does nothing and says HEM isn't responding.

OK so I left it for a while and it eventually installed, you should really have created some kind of progression bar so that we can see it's actually doing something. Not had time to test HUD yet.

This process can take time - depends of DB size and PC. Be patient and wait.
