HM has been working fine for me for months (and was working perfectly yesterday), but unfortunately today I got an error.

When I first startup HM, IMPORT on the left panel is selected. As soon as I move the selection to say 'Reports' or 'Preflop Cards' or 'Hands' or any of the other options on the left panel then this window pops up with an error.

I have taken the following steps to try and resolve it:
- Shutdown and restarted computer
- Uninstalled and reinstalled HM
- Upgraded to from v1.11.06 to v1.11.07
- Created a fresh database and pointed HM to that

I am using Windows 7 64-bit and have 8gb of ram.

None of this helped. Any ideas?

same problem here, must be a windows 7 updates issue (I cannot roll back to check) same setup as OP

If you go ahead and uninstall the windows updates from 13th July, it works

Windows released a security update a couple of hours ago which caused Holdem Manager to stop working and were already looking into the issue and we will release an update as soon as possible to fix the issue.

In the meantime if you follow the instructions on this thread from this thread it should solve the problem temporarily: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/96111-windows-7-holdemmanager-stopped-working.html

Once we release 1.11.07 on the forums and website with the fix you will be able to reinstall the security updates again
