After starting HM, I get this two errors:

------------------------------
An error occurred while updating your DB (CompiledPlayerResults Phase 2): Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\mestar\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Dat abaseUpdateLog.txt'.

Please close down any programs accessing the database and relaunch Holdem manager.
------------------------------
The following error occurred when trying to open the database: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\mestar\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Dat abaseUpdateLog.txt'.
------------------------------

After that, the Database Control Panel is launched, but after selecting a database, the same happens again. No way to start HM.

This is 1.11.07 Pre-Release-4. The mentioned directory ...Roaming\HoldemManager does not exist.

I installed 4 because prerelease 3 had some weird picture on "Import" tab, and no buttons on it, so I tried this new version. Ver 3 was working fine 2 hours ago, and I installed latest Win7 patches and rebooted.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

And reboot your computer.

Manually adding the missing directory fixed the problem.

It was Win7 64 bit, no antivirus, no firewall, it was set to ran as admin the whole time.

I did all of these things and/or they were already done, and now I'm back to the "Unhandled exception" error in 1.12. I have Windows 7, and the AVG anti-virus. Now what can I do?

Thanks,

Windows released a security update a couple of hours ago which caused Holdem Manager to stop working and were already looking into the issue and we will release an update as soon as possible to fix the issue.

In the meantime if you follow the instructions on this thread from this thread it should solve the problem temporarily: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/96111-windows-7-holdemmanager-stopped-working.html
