I am using windows vista with basic theme with table ninja.

When I use table ninja without HEM the tables pop up very smooth and there is no delay after I click a button.
The same issue occurs with HEM running without table ninja.

It is a minor problem but can be very annoying when playing more than 10 tables.
The problem involves the poker stars tables flickering when the focus changed between stacked tables

Update Vista to Service Pack 2.
Run a manual Windows Update and install ALL other updates (especially .net framework updates)

Update your videocard driver with the latest beta driver from AMD/ATI or Nvidia.

---

Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Done all of the above now and still no difference:mad:

I didnt need to update to service pack 2 as I was already using it.

Everytime I completed one of the suggestions I thought it would have fixed it but sadly not the case

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe (run it again, it was updated again just now)

HUD options--> player preferences---> appearance tab--> try to move the opacity slider fully to the right.

Still no luck:(

Going to uninstall stars and reinstall just to see if it helps.

My laptop runs the same set up totally fine (same table themes and HUD settings) except the laptop is W7, I even use aero theme on the laptop.

The best way of describing this flicker us that it is similar to the flicker when you have lots of tables stacked and you click auto import on HEM so HEM will cause the tables to flicker as it adds the HUD to each table.

If there are any other suggestions I would be very grateful

Thanks

Did you update the videocard driver?
What sort of computer is this exactly?

Are you running:
-an AHK script
-turn off UAC: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/) it's similar with Vista)
-Ultramon
-is it a dual monitor setup?
-Apple Safari as a browser?

Did you update the videocard driver?
Yep
What sort of computer is this exactly?
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.80GHz
4GB RAM
64bit
Windows Vista
ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series

No
-turn off UAC: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/) it's similar with Vista)
Done
-Ultramon
Yes
-is it a dual monitor setup?
Yes, one 24" and one 20" so two different resolutions

I think Ultramon could definitely be the cause of this. I have already tried switching it off during a session, I will uninstall it all together

Update Ultramon

Just as a test, unplug one monitor. Reboot.
And try playing a session with just one monitor... to rule out the issue is somehow caused by the dual monitor setup.

And install: ATI Radeon (http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon-vista-64.aspx)

Bump

Is there anything else that has came up that would solve this problem?

Would it help if I made a 30 second video, one with HEM running and one without?

Thanks

I still haven't received a scheduled support session after emailing them :(

Do you think upgrading to windows 7 could help?

Upgrading to windows7 = fresh installation? This should help.
Your email was moved to our Bugs inbox - don't know why - i replied.

I have changed to aero theme which I thought would only make the problem worse.

However on the trial run it seemed to be back to normal, hopefully I will be able to use aero theme without disrupting the other programs such as table ninja.

I will reply to your email if the issue has not been resolved.

Thanks again
