I'm trying to delete hand histories observed but still keep stats on players. I have purged hand histories through observed hand history configuration then it tells me it can't finish the job so I have to do it manually through pg admin, which I did. I vacuum and analyze and everything looks like it should have deleted the hands, but under my E:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\base\16403 file it still shows as big as ever, no reduction in size at all. I searched through the forums and tried everything I can find. Any ideas on what's going wrong? I did double check and it looks like my postgresql services are running.
Thanks, Jeremy

I followed all the steps and I haven't freed up any drive space at all. I don't get an error it just doesn't seem to help. let me know if you have any other ideas.

Not sure why that isnt freeing up space. Try exporting your hands http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173 then creating a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146 then reimport the hands into the new database and finally delete the old database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

Yeah it will keep the stats if you used that option but you wont be able to see the HH or replay the hand just see the stats
