View Full Version : connection to '127.0.0.1'

Ok so finally realised that this connection problem wasn't going to sort itself out and have used the two links below to do what I can but I missed out two steps because i had to and the problem remains. (oh by the way i feel like aaarrrggghhh!!!)

The two steps missed were:

1) adding that narrative to the host file (step 1) because my computer wont let me save th ammended file.

2) uninstalling norton security because i've had it more than 60 days and apparently i wont be able to download it again or something. (but i did switch everything off within it, whilst doing the steps)

If i'm not bothered about the settings i have saved and my database will uninstaling both HEM and postgress, and then start from scratch as if i've just bought it and you give me a new license key should that work. (I have all my processed hand histories saved so can import them then just re aply all my settings.

Or is this just wishfull thinking??

You say it wont let you save the hosts file, if so then you most likely have UAC enabled so please disable it and reboot and refollow the instructions http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
