Hi this is my first post, i've been interested to start to start an account, I have some questions which I could not find answered through search.

Is it possible to put HEM on a external storage device and log in directly into it, i would like to have the same HUD information available on both my laptop(which cannot support a internal solid state drive) and my desktop?

I was considering this device, can you please comment on how you think it will function with HEM.

HEM on an external drive:
sure, just install PostgreSQL with the installer from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org).
And as the installation folder, choose a location on your external drive.

Or... you can change the location of the current SQL data folder, by editing the system registry. Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/368/Move+Database+to+Another+Hard+Drive+or+Partition

If your mainboards supports USB 3.0, using a SuperTalent flash drive is a brilliant idea, since it will be as fast (if not faster) as using an internal SSD drive. The downside is they're extremely expensive: too expensive in my opinion if you really need 256 GB.
64 GB ($278) should be enough space for a 6 million hand database.
If your computer doesn't support USB 3.0 they're useless.

check if the hands still import as errors in a new database.

Run a manual Windows Update and install ALL updates.
