FML. I just installed HEM on a new computer and re-imported all my hands. I thought it had all worked fine but a few days later (without playing) I can't open HEM.

I get this message straight after opening it:

"An error occured while updating your DB (CompiledPlayerResults Phase 2): Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\James\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Data baseUpdateLog.txt'.

Please close down any programs accessing the database and relaunch Holdem manager."

Immediately followed by this message:

"The following error occurred when trying to open the database. Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\James\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Data baseUpdateLog.txt'."

I then am taken to "Connect to PostgreSQL" but it won't open a new database I created after this happened either.

Help please!!!

Update to: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/releases/82571-1-11-07-pre-release.html

---

If that doesn't resolve it you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off.

I already had that version installed, and already had things set to Run as Admin. I have changed firewall settings but the problem remains the same...

Open dbcontrolpanel.exe (=Database Management)
Can you connect to PostgreSQL?

Which PostgreSQL version are you running?

Update PostgreSQL from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)
Try installing 9.0.4 to port 5433 and connect to that instead. (and create a new database)

I decided to uninstall HEM & Postgres and started from scratch.

Everything was working fine until I updated to 1.11.07 and the same problem came up, presumably this is some kind of bug.

The bug was in 1.11.07 build 1, but 1.11.07 build 2 (and 3) have already been released @ http://forums.holdemmanager.com/releases/82571-1-11-07-pre-release.html
