Hi

I have been using Holdem Manager for a number of months, and I've never had an issue before now. When I go to open it, I get the error message

Failed to establish a connection to ‘127.0.0.1’

I went to FAQ #34 that I saw in another post, and have checked all of my settings, all are as they should be.

I'm not sure what else I can do, help please!

Thanks.

I am having same problem. My error message says "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." I'm playing now, and it's like playing blind-I need my Hold'Em Manager!!!!:(:(:( OK I just got knocked out in 112th place. I felt completely lost without the HM tools. Will not play again until fixed. Anyone from tech support working on this?

Please email the hosts file from C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc to morny@holdemmanager.net and also link to this thread and then try to start the PostgreSQL service as shown in this FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34 then after a while it will fail and give an error please copy and paste this error and then go to Control panel > Admin Tools > Event Viewer > Windows Log > Application error and look near the top for an red error sign, click on this and view the details of the error and post it here aswell or email it

Thanks for the link (http://208.109.95.123/forum/showthread.php?t=8261), hopefully that will solve the problem when I can complete all the steps.
I hit a problem already on step 1 though - when fixing the host file, I opened it in Notepad, pasted the line "127.0.0.1 localhost", but when I went to save it I got this message;

"Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

Make sure that the path and file name are correct."

What do I need to change?

Thanks

Move the file outside his folder, do the change and reput the file in his folder.
