hi , im switching from pt3 to HEM

ive deleted all folders and programs postgresql and pt3

but when i try the install the sql it generates an error on making the account
it says : user postgres could not be created the user account already exists

i have looked and searched everywhere on my computer and to my knowledge all folders are deleted and no service is running
i tried installing it on different drives but the error keeps occuring

is there something i might have missed ?
help would be much appreciated

Hey Scrandy :)

Try this:

For anyone else that is having issues with the user postgres has already been created, go to your command function (for Vista users, type cmd in search) and type net user. This will show you which user groups are on your pc.

Net user will tell you if the user is on your machine. If it is, type the command: net user postgres /delete or any other usernames you might have tried(ie holdemmanager). Go to the program files and ensure everything postgres is deleted and reboot. Reinstall and remember the default is NOT morny pc..it is whatever your account is (normally something like OWNER-PC) otherwise the lookup failure will occur.

HTH

Im not sure, maybe post the code on a PC forum and ask how the equivilant is done for XP or post this on the PostgreSQL forums and they might have another workaround
