Hi..

I have played about 150k hands using HEM, but I have not used HEM the last two months.

Now I want to use it again because I want to start playing cash game again but when I try and open it, it says "HEM has determined that you are running windows wista. In order to have HEM running well you should disable User Access Control in your Control Panel - User section. This is needed in order to properly install Postgre.

The problem is that I have already done that, and I am pretty confident I have done it correctly because I had the same problem to begin with the first time I downloaded HEM.

I have tried reinstalling and things like that, but nothing seem to help.

Ps. When I press the ok button the Database Control Panel comes up but nothing I do really seem to help.

First when I open HEM the little black icon comes up but within few seconds the message that I wrote in my first post comes up and nothing else happens, I pushes this button and it closes down and all I can do is trying to open HEM again but the same just keeps happening, so basically my problem is that I can not open HEM.

Sry if you have already understood this but I do not know what else to write ;-)

Please try uninstalling .net framework and reinstall it http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=14

Can you follow these instructions:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Hm1.08Beta.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
10) Test if it works again for a while

Right after I finished step 7 it opened correctly, but when I wanted to register it with my license "key" it came up with the same error before I got to the point where I shall copy my key.

I did the rest of the steps but it still just comes up with the same error.

Can you completely uninstall any antiviruses and firewalls, then reboot and try again

If the problem still persists email me morny@holdemmanager.net and well do a teamviewer session, dont reinstall the antivirus until after the teamviewer session
