View Full Version : PostgreSQL folder very large
SuperSized

Windows Explorer says my PostgreSQL folder is a massive 18GB. I checked out the folder a little closer and I previously had 8.3 installed (7GB) and I'm currently using 8.4 (11GB).
1. Should the folders be this big? Is seems a little excessive.
2. Can I safely delete the 8.3 folder?
I have already turned off logging and have deleted the log files.

PostgreSQL databases take up approximately 10gb per 1 million hands. Do you have other databases? PT3 databases or other tracking software? Try deleting any old/unnecessary databases - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database#Delete

Yes, assuming you no longer need the databases or have backed them up and/or exported any necessary data.
