I used to have Postgress installed, but my HM was not working properly so I decided to uninstall it. For a couple of weeks I did not use HM, and installed PT3 instead. Now I am trying to switch back to HM gain, and I have uninstalled PT# and Postgress.
When I am trying to install Postgress again, I always get this error message:

"Data directory error.

The specified data directory is not empty.
If you have an existing databse directory with the same major number, you do not need to initialize a database cluster.
If you have an existing database with a diffrent major version you need to backup your old databse and create a new one."

I donīt know what to do here, can someone please help me?

Can you go to Program Files and delete the postgreSQL folder, then reboot your computer and try to reinstall postgreSQL.

I managed to reinstall Postgres, I unticked "Initialize database cluster", and it worked. BUT, even with Postgress now installed i can not connect HM to Postgress...it says "a connection to Postgres could not be made", eventhough Postgres IS installed....any suggestions?
