Hi

I'm moderator in the french comunity of pokerstrategy.com. I got the following problem from a fellow:

Tourney result on pokerstars:

Is it a SNG or MTT?

The customer is using a VERY OLD version 1.10.04 and this has likely been fixed in one of the many updates since then.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found', including Internet Explorer 9 (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).


*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

If the problems persist in the new database with the latest HM version, Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com


If the customer plays MTT he should make sure it is writing summary files. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Results.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

The fellow has done the update, everything fine. Interesting ist, that he has downloaded the trial and got this old version 3 days ago; why is the trial with such an old version?
