Hi,
I am getting this strange error lately:
Whenever I open a MS Office 2010 program while the HUD is running the HUD will crash.
The error message I get is

"Assertion failed!

Program: C:\Poker\Tools\Holdem Manager\HMHUD.exe
File.\MyTable.cpp
Line: 1239

Expression: 0

[...]"

This happens reliably every time I start up any Office 2010 program. It also seems to happen occasionally when I open up websites (on firefox).

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Are you already using 1.11.06g? http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Yes, however I also had the same problem with the previous version.

Turn off User Account Control and reboot: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/)

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

And run a manual Windows Update and install ALL updates?
If you're using Windows 7, make sure it's updated to Service Pack 1.
When running the Windows Update, also install all Office updates.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread after more than a week - I was unavailable for a while and could not respond.

However, the problem still persists for me.
I am running W7 with Norton Internet Security.

All programs are running with admin rights and all updates are installed. Deactivating UAC did not do the trick.
Temporarily deactivating Norton also did not help...

Any other suggestion what might help?

Uninstall Norton. And reboot.

Reinstall http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Norton causes problems with hmhud.exe, even when hmhud.exe is added to the firewall (or Norton SONAR) exceptions list... or when you deactivate Norton.

Unfortunately, the problem still persists after removing Norton and a reinstall of HM...
