Holdem Manager worked initially when I installed it on my computer. Power went out. Now it won't restart. I've done everything every FAQ has said to do. I reinstalled both Holdem Manager and PostgreSQL. I use Vista and UAC is turned off. The error I seem to keep getting is after clicking on "connect" when I first open Holdem Manager several windows pop up in succession:

"A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would you like to have Holdem Manager attempt to start the service?"

I click "yes"

"Sorry, Holdem Manager was unable to start the service"

I click "OK"

"Holdem Manager has started the service. Please try again."

When I try again I get the same message. I never get a "can't connect" message.

Feel free to respond anytime soon, anyone. Very frustrated. Wouldn't mind help from an administrator.

Most likely noone has responded because there are 100 other posts about basically this exact same issue. It sounds like you are having the same problem the rest of us have been having, which was caused by an update to windows that Micro$oft put out this week.
