I have just begun my HEM trial. I'm very pleased so far with what I've seen of the program, but I've been encountering some errors doing a manual vacuum/analyze.

The first thing I did in HEM was to import several months of hand histories. This amounted to over 100K of my hands, 11K players, and an undetermined number of observed hands.

When I attempted a vacuum/analyze, I got the message that there was an error and I should do a manual v/a -- so I did. I got an error so I ran it again. I continuted to get errors and repeated the v/a which seemed to be getting farther each time.

I finally reached an error that I am now getting on every attempt. The text of the error message is as follows:

--CPU 0.00s/0.00u sec elapsed 0.00 sec.INFO:
--analyzing "pg_catalog.pg_proc"INFO: "pg_proc": scanned 51 of 51 pages,
--containing 2157 live rows and 0 dead rows; 2157 rows in sample, 2157
--estimated total rows
--ERROR: compressed data is corrupt
--
--ERROR: compressed data is corrupt

Everything in HEM seems to be working OK -- in fact, I experienced a dramatic performance improvement after the repeated v/a runs. I'm concerned however that there may be a time bomb in my database. I can't afford to lose my data.

Any advice would be appreciated.

http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173 export your hands then create a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146 and reimport the hands, should be fine then might be just a small issue with the old database
