6-max is working great. Except that I haven't figured out how to explain to TM that a table named (whatever) is 6-max, not 10.

9-max, though ...

I've tried using & not using the seat selector, and saving with the alignment editor active or in-. It always recognizes a 10-max table, and once I've set it to 9, it seems to give me a random seat regardless. I wouldn't mind shifting the seats with TM, but the cards don't rotate the same amount as the HUDs do. This is particularly irritating when in a tournament, as it changes every time I'm moved to a new table.

Also, it's not working at all with mixed games, which it always did on Tilt and Stars.

Any advice appreciated.

Position in the Merge FAQ seems to be wrong. Pos. 1 is 9:00 not 6:00.
...cards still all over the place.

Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/34/PreferredSeating

Rightclick on a table in TableManager and manually set it to 9/10 players. (9 handed table being wrongly detected as 10 handed or vice versa is a common problem)

Main HUD problem (HUD stats at the wrong tables) should be fixed with proper seating preferences settings.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Or turn off UAC completely: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/)

(this should enable the changes you make to actually be saved)

OS: Win XP SP up to date
AV: Avast
FW: WinXP native

Thanks for the reply. If it's my OS, would the 6-max be working?

Try this:

1) Close HM and the Table Manager.
2) Delete your existing position files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
3) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\pospref2txt and pospref4.txt.
4) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and open 1 cash table.
5) Use Ctrl Right-Click Drag to move the panels Move the main/first panel for each player first. This is the panel with the Note Icon (asterisk).
6) Once the main panel is in the proper position, you can position any hud sub-panels for each player.
7) Once they are set, go to Table Manager > File > Save Positions.
8) Close that table, open a new one, and sit to play.

That did it. Thank you.
