Hi guys,

so with all windows defender problems, i had to install the new postgreSQL 8.3. I still have the folder w all the data from the old 8.2 on my pc.

Is there any way to extract the notes i had? That's really really important. It's ok that i lost all datamined stats, but without notes on all regulars, it's quite hard to start all over again...

thanks
N.

See this FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=119

That doesn't help me. I lost all databases since i had to reinstall from 8.2 to 8.3. I only have the datafolder from 8.2 left that i renamed before installing 8.3. I want to know if there is a way to recuperate notes from the old data folder in program files.

Probably not but you can try this:

Uninstall PostgreSQL, reinstall it until you get to the page where you select the directory, got to the data folder and navigate to the old data folder you said you renamed. Then at the page where there is an initialise database cluster tick box just untick it and finish the installation.

If this works then you can just export the notes after connecting to the database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=119 but its not the correct way and thus its not always very successful so it probably wont connect. Failing that im afraid you cant get access to the notes
