Hello, first of all thanks for any help. I did a quick search but think Im screwing things up, so wanted to post a thread before I attempt more.

Cliff notes of what I did:

1) everything working great
2) got virus like idiot, decided it was good time to format and upgrade to Win7 from Vista
3) bought an external Hard Drive
4) Moved stuff over to external HD. Including hopefully all HEM stuff. Though I'm unsure of this. I moved the RVG software folder and the postgresql folder.
5) installed win7
6) Moved RVG software and postgresql folders back onto machine from external HD.
6) now I run HEM and it gives error that it cant connect to DB.

The error is"Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1'"

I'm a little overwhelmed by this process. Certainly it's user error as I dont know WTF Im doing.

Thanks for the help.

Simply moving the folders back won't work.
You'll also have to to reinstall PostgreSQL to the folder.

If you used SQL 8.3 before--> you'll have to install SQL 8.3 again.
If you used SQL 8.4--> install SQL 8.4

You can download them from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org)

You need 8.4.x
(so it doesn't matter if you install 8.4.1 or 8.4.8)

You can download it here: Download PostgreSQL | EnterpriseDB (http://www.enterprisedb.com/products-services-training/pgdownload)
