Which network is "Hero Poker"?
It's on the Merge network? Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/325/Merge+Network+Setup

And http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/34/PreferredSeating

i did that already, found it on 2p2 a little while ago, still no luck

it finds the table in the table manager window, imports hands, it just wont show the HUD

the hand history files are xml files, i dont know if that matters

Try using the TableFinder: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/ConfiguringTableFinderToShowHUD

doesn't work for me either

hand will import, hud will show up for a while, if i go to table finder and manualy show it which table, but it won't update after new hands are played.

thaths what u get for using old unsupported discontinued software.

HM1 updates/support isn't discontinued.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporaril y.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

I tried updating to Version 1.12.10b

This version at least does what I wrote above as previous version didn't even recognize the tables, ie. Table Finder found no tables, although hands were importing.

Windows 7 64bit Ultimate, default firewall, Microsoft security essentials or whatever that default AV is called.

Which I think is not the problem unless Hero poker has specifically issues with these things? Although I wouldn't be surprised because IT IS the only client i saw which requires admin privileges. Is that the problem?

If you already have UAC off, it will have a similar effect as adding admin privileges to the pokerclient .exe file.
Are you playing a specific type of tables Cash, STT, MTT?

Does TableFinder work, when you create a NEW database?

Also try this: .Delete the file Program Files/RVG Software/HoldemManager/Config/exenames.txt
Then try the TableFinder again: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/ConfiguringTableFinderToShowHUD

i haven't created new database, i tried disabling uac and deleting that txt file. doesn't work. table finder sees the table, after i show it to it, it will display the hud, but it won't update after new hands are played.

i tried mtt, freerolls three times now, that's it, have 0 balance atm, can't try cash games.

Update: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_Release_1.12.11_03Aug2012.exe

It's likely an issue only affecting freerolls (which we don't fully support)
Try playing a real money STT, MTT or cashgame.

i'll try updating and get back to you, but why would hem care if the tourney is freeroll or not?

like i said, i have 0 bankroll atm on there, and im not gonna deposit just to test this, i need fully functioning app i bought on a site that has very high risk of losing everything (doj) for depositing real money.

thanks until then though.

HM doesn't support all freerolls.
It supports some (most on PokerStars).

HM only supports real-money games.

what's the difference, seriously? hand format is hand format, aren't they all the same? is this a technical issue or business decision?

eh, just forget about it, I'm not depositing real money there.

All pokersites constantly make changes to the handhistory formatting.
HoldemManager decided to not support PLAY MONEY... and to not actively update our code whenever a site creates a new 'type' of freeroll.

It is a technical issue:
HoldemManager has to be able to detect the difference between a freeroll, a satellite, a 'step', etc. and has to be able to detect what you can WIN. And there is no universal handhistory formatting.

Even on the same network, the difference between a SPEED SNG vs TURBO SNG often isn't even written to the handhistory file. HoldemManager has to pick up the speed (and what type of game it is) based on the buyin and rake amount:
$10+1 = regular speed
$10+$0.77 = turbo
$10+$0.66 = hyper turbo

If you play a daily, very common freeroll which isn't detected/imported email us a handhistory to support@holdemmanager.com
