This afternoon i was playing poker on my laptop with HM running. I don't know what happend but my laptop crasht out of the blue.

After restarting it i attempted to start HM again. I couldn't get a connection and followed the steps of the FAQ's and other topics. Just now i tried to install PostgreSQL again, but i can't. I can choose the language, but then it sais:

Unable to open the installation package. Make sure the package excists or try to reach the distributor and check if it is a valid Windows Installer package.

What do i do?! I am using Windows Vista..

Ok.. So the next problem has occurred. When i start HM i see the Database Control Panel. Normally the Login Name would be postgres and the password would be postgrespass, bet when i try to connect it doesn't work.

I followed all the steps mentioned in this thread: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=176
As described at point 7, I changed the account name to postgreuser and made my own password. When i try these and try to connect to PostgreSQL it doesn't work. During the installation progress i also got a message with some strange password. Again, if i try this one, i can't connect to PostgreSQL..

I am totally lost! What the .... do I do?

Can you reboot your PC and check if the postgreSQL is running: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=34
