I'm trying to understand how HEM calculates standard deviation. I adjusted filters for only 7 hands so I can try to duplicate HEM's calculation.

But the actual stdev for {0, 4.13, 1.5, 0, 1.5, 0 ,1.5} is 1.48. How does HEM come up with 14.14?

edit: I think HEM St Dev is in bb/100.

edit 2: I readjusted the filter to use exactly 100 hands. I calculated St Dev based on bbs won/lost (lost = negative) and got 3.97 vs HEM's 38.39. In both calculations HEM is greater, by a factor of ~10. I still don't get what HEM is doing.

I found this http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/5377-standard-deviation-holdem-manager-am-i-interpreting-correctly.html

and some other threads when i searched for deviation.

Please let me know if you need further help.
