PostgreSQL is a pain in the butt for me.
I don't know my password for it, I've tried postgrespass, dbpass (the recommended from PT3), password, pass, all the basic stuff and the caps version of it.
So I look in the FAQ and it says I can edit a file to change md5 to "trust" which I do for both lines.
Now I am on pgAdmin III and when I try to open my database and type any password, I get this error message:
FATAL: role "postgres" does not exist
When I try typing a password with md5 instead of trust as the line values, I believe I get the standard:
FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres"
Can someone help me here?
