download problem

My internet connection frequently breaks down and then starts up again.

To be able to download the manager I need to be able to pick up the download where it stopped. I will never be able to download the manager if I have to start from zero every time my internet connection breaks down.

One could say that I need something similar to a torrent file, but legal.

Any ideas ?

A solution may be to use a download manager with the ability to continue partial downloads. There may be some good firefox addons available.
But be careful - many free download manager programs contain adware, malware, ....

Yeah i would try googling for download managers and see what people recommend. There isn't a torrent available so i cant think of any other way to do it other than a download manager.

Yes, a found a program called "Free Download Manager".

It's doing exactly what I asked for in my question above.

(The download program is so small that even I can download it between breakdowns.)
