View Full Version : rush HUD while shorthanded

I have problems with the HUD while playing shorthanded in rush, 2-5players, the stats that get displayed are blank or don't update. Is this just me or a known problem? At the same time I was 3 tabling rush FR and the HUD on these tables were working perfectly.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Turn off live tracking for Full Tilt.

Was the "shorthanded in rush, 2-5players" game a RUSH cashgame, or a special type of RUSH tourney?

hud options--> additional HUD filters--> try setting the #players filter back to default.

When playing, rightclick on the pokertable in TableManager and manually set the number of players to 9 and check if the correct HUD configuration is assigned to the table.

If the wrong HUD configuration is assigned: hud options--> player preferences--> use for tab (and also set the HUD configuration to HU/6max play... and make sure the other HUD configurations have no conflicting/overlapping settings)

It's NL200 FR rush, just there are so few playing it's short handed, I tried all the options you listed but still doesn't work. While I played short handed at a regular table and the HUD works fine

If you enable the pre-fetch option the Rush HUD should work.

Setup the HUD pre-fetch on site options and make sure it points to the right folder.
Manually add the pre-fetch folder to the auto import list.




If that fails, try creating a new empty database and reimport your archive folder, C:/HMArchive.

Which PostreSQL version are you running?

thanks a lot for your help, I'm running postgresql v 8.3, today it worked much better played one person heads up and it worked fine, then a couple of hours later HUD wouldn't update. The hands import to HEM fine, but the HUD doesn't change. 3-6 handed seemed to be running fine.

Additional HUD filters are set to
ppl min max
2 2 - 3
3 3 - 4
4 3 - 6
5 4 - 7
6 5 - 10
7 6 - 10
etc

Install PostgreSQL 9.0.x (or 8.4.x) to a different port (5433) from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org) and reimport your archive folder C:/HMArchive into a new empty database.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off. Do the same for pg_ctl.exe and postgres.exe in the PostgreSQL/bin folder

I need help with the first bit, i've downloaded 8.4 on port 5433 but how do I reimport HMarchive? Everything runs as admin, the only anti virus I have is comodo

Uninstall Comodo (the most likely cause of ALL your HoldemManager issues).

In HoldemManager click on options--> database management--> connect (to port 5433!)--> create a new empty database (set it as default)--> start HoldemManager.

Then in HoldemManager, import tab--> import from folder--> on C:/HMArchive

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel.
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

That is all the security I have on both of my personal computers (that are online 24/7) for the past 18 months.

AVG Free AntiVirus or Avira Free Antivirus are good options, but their 'internet security' bundles/suites are not.

If you feel the need to pay for security I would suggest ESET NOD or Kaspersky.

Just to let you know my 6max is now working i changed #7 Players on my additional hud to 6-10 as instructed in my thread. Works on my old and new database. GL

I've done as instructed by fozzy but haven't had chance to check my HUD will do so later, is there anyway I can inport all my notes from the old database? Everyones stats are fine but not notes I had on them.

Edit: HUD still not working/updating HU or 3way

6 way the HUD shows ppl FR stats even tho the additional filters are set to 5 - 7

Connect to your old database--> export the notes (options--> export notes)

Connect to the your datase--> import the notes.

Make sure you import all the handhistories first. The player you have a note on, must exist in the database, otherwise the note can't be attached to the player.

HUD issue: read Netsrak solution @ http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hud-bugs/76151-rush-hud-6max.html

And try if that fixes it.

Notes imported fine ty, I tried as in 6 max HUD but didn't work, also tried using jij's aditional filters as in HUD bug/FTP rush FR thread and it doesn't work.

As I said above, hands import fine, but just don't show in the HUD, for some reason I think that has to do with the additional HUD filters, f.e. yesterday a rush table was 6 handed and it showing ppl FR stats, even tho 6 ppl should be showing stats for 5 - 7, table manager is using the correct HUD and realising it's 6 ppl at a 9 max table.

Please attach your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files(X86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder (or something similar depending on your installation). It may be just called holdemmanager if you've extentions turned off.

I think but I'm not certain the HUD works for 3-5 handed and 7+, just not heads up or 6 way

Can you click auto detect at the auto import folders screen. (it should add two system folders)
Can you make sure all the system folders including C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Importing\HEM Data... and the Full Tilt folder all use the SAME archive folder.

Is support really busy? I sent them an email 2 days ago and I got the holding email saying they would probably reply within 2 hours but definitely within 24 and I still haven't heard anything.
