Hello,

I reinstalled holdem manager together with postgresql and imported all my hands again from the HMArchive folder. But I got around 100K import errors and 180K hands were imported correctly. I managed to isolate the import errors and tried to import those again by copying them into a new folder but still they give only import errors. What could be wrong?
I use the latest version of the holdem manager (1.11.06.e-1).

Set the date formatting of your computer to M/d/yyyy (and not to European default d/M/yyyy) and reboot.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. If you have Vista and the checkboxes are greyed out and you can't select it, please turn UAC on, reboot, and then set the files to run as administrator.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for those files, even if the firewall is turned off.

I use Windows Vista, ZoneAlarm and AVG.
Windows Firewall is turned off.

The files were already set to run as administrator. I changed the date format to M/d/yyyy and added \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe as exceptions to the windows firewall.

But I still get the same import errors.

Regarding the import errors, they are likely unsupported game types. You can take a look at the \rvg software\holdem manager\importing\logs folder to check.

Please send us the original hands to test import. Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, to support@holdemmanager.com

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager. They wont cause these import issues but I expect you may have HUD issues with zone alarm.

If you later have HUD issues, please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel.
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
