I was running PT2 till about sept or so then swiched over to HM with about 6 GB of data. Now running HM w/postSQL on Vista and my PSQL data file has jumped to 49GB in 5 months. I purged and vacuumed the files down from two years of data to 8 months with only 1 GB gained and tonight I ran both again down to only six months of data and again very little space gained. Also in the past two weeks trying to a sesion review has become close to imposible due to loading time.
Any help would be great to get this file size down.

Please see this link for some options on reducing size further:

Also have you removed winners columns as this can increase speed alot

You can delete the content of C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.X\data\pg_log aswell

Thank you but that seems far to advanced for me. Do you know of any other options?
Now there must be a problem, 47 GB of data in 6mo, seems way out of line and I do not data mine 24/7. Does purging the files up to about 6mo ago get rid of the old data files. And I'm looking and I see the number of players in my data base has not dropped. I must be doing some thing wrong.
Should I have been starting new PSQl databases every so often like I use to do in PT2 and just delete the old file in its entirety?

Any more thoughts would be great

sorry but are you sure, this pg_log file is 39.4 GB in size. Seems so large for a file full of info I don't need.

just need a little reinsurance- let me know

You can delete everyting in the pg_log folder. Don't delet the folder just everything in it. You don't need the logs in it the pg_log folder, it does not contain you database. I delete everything in mine once a week. You can wait for Morny to verify this before you delete them.

what mksmipalla said, you can delete the content but not the folder itself
